A Contemporary, Organic Oasis
When this family gutted their house down to the studs, they envisioned a renovated home that would be contemporary but not sterile. Soft lines and lots of warm wood tones helped them achieve their goal and the finished result is gorgeous.
The master bath is a perfect example of contemporary design with softer, organic shapes. Note the custom wall-hung vanity from Lacava with its rich wood tones topped with the swooping shape of the vessel sinks made of volcanic limestone from Victoria & Albert. The faucets also have a sexy curve that you might expect from the premiere Italian manufacturer, Gessi. Even the twisting shape of the cabinet hardware brings an organic shape to the crisp polished chrome.
Tile choices of wood-grained porcelain planks and river rock behind the tub together with the stunning wood doors and window trim bring a feel of nature to this grand space. And in the shower, a ceiling-mounted Raindance showerhead from Hansgrohe with its 163 spray channels offers a gentle flow like a natural rainshower. Even the valve trims designed by Jean-Marie Massaud take their inspiration from nature as so all the products he created for Hansgrohe's Axor division.
This beautiful oasis will be enjoyed as a place to rejuvenate and refresh for many years to come.
